Why Glee?

I’m 100% sure you know what’s ‘Glee’. But just in case, let me remind you that it was an American TV show aired from 2009 to 2015. Last April they released the last episode, that’s why I decided to dedicate this entire month to this show.

Glee’ is a show that, as I’ve already said before, could have been better. It started really good; I think that everyone was expecting a lot of good things of it. But sadly it got worst and worst season after season. So it was like a kind of relief to make it finish before being cancelled.

It’s a comedy drama, with teenagers playing the main roles, but it’s also a musical show. It was the first time on TV that the characters were singing and dancing, remembering classic musicals or new pop songs.

It was created by Ryan Murphy, who is becoming very popular in American TV, producing lots of great shows like ‘Glee’, ‘American Horror Story’, ‘The New Normal’, ‘Nip/Tuck’ or the upcoming ‘Scream Queens’. He decided all the songs that would be performed on the show, with a balance between chart hits and songs from musicals.

It was a positive show (sometimes too positive and too pompous) with good messages like respect and tolerance for diversity and the importance of protecting the arts. So it’s time to remember ‘Glee’ for all this month. Have you seen the show? What do you think about it?
